Janice Jones

Portrait of Janice Jones

Janice is a physical therapist with years of clinical experience. Over the years, her practice has evolved into a more holistic approach to treating a patient's pain and dysfunction. Janice's medical training as a physical therapist gives her the advantage of integrating the conventional with the alternative as needed to facilitate the healing process.

Integrative Manual Therapy is the primary modality utilized at her clinic. Integrative Manual Therapy is a specialty that finds its roots in Osteopathic medicine. It is a form of both structural and functional rehabilitation.

She uses a multi-systems approach which utilizes different techniques to address various systems of the body (i.e. bone, nerve, fascia, muscle, organ, lymph, circulatory). Treatment techniques generally involve gentle manipulations designed to promote tissue repair, normalize structure and restore function. The type of technique used depends on the type of restriction discovered in the body and may include the following:

  • Muscle Energy Strain
  • Myofascial Release
  • Joint Mobilization
  • Craniosacral
  • Counterstrain
  • Neural Tissue Tension
  • Muscle Re-education
  • Visceral Manipualtion

The diversity of her therapeutic techniques enables her to provide effective and efficient treatment for diagnoses which may not be improved by other approaches or even those for which physical therapy would not be considered a treatment option.
